With the development of on-line media you could be forgiven for thinking that print may be overlooked by todays digital generation, but you'd be dead wrong. Print has moved up and advanced massively in the past five to ten years and is now used in such extraordinary ways that it has become absolutely critical to any project worth it's salt. Innovations in materials, techniques and processes are continually emerging giving client and designers alike a whole new box of toys to play with. Business cards are no longer simple tools to get your details into a clients hands, they are a way to make a truly lasting impression. How about some spot UV printing to make your phone number pop? Rounded corners to make it easy to find among those other cards? What about a foil press to really give your logo some shine? Print may have been around for centuries, but it's only now getting really interesting.
Because on-line media has become so prevalent it's also meant a change in how we actually react to print. Where as once, print could be pulpy and throw away it's now a chance to really make contact with your clients. A chance to put in that extra effort and put something truly special in their hands. If you buy a t-shirt from a bespoke apparel company now, chances are they you'll get it in a custom printed box, with a letter headed thank you note, some stickers and a few button badges. Now a plastic parcel bag would have done fine, but would it have made the same impression on the person who ordered it? I'm guessing not.
Over time I've managed to get a really great group of printers together that I know I'll get the best quality and prices from. I know who can do what I'm looking for in the best way and how long it'll take to land on my lap. So if you are looking to deliver that message in a personal way then I'd be happy to make that happen for you from concept through to print.
